Legacy Park Day Camp (LPDC) is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. with after-care available until 6 p.m.
Day Camp offers a range of camp activities each day including outdoor and nature skills, science, technology, engineering, arts, and math activities, team building, sports and games, and snacks (activities vary by camp and by theme). Day Camp programs can be most beneficial when children attend for a succession of weeks - providing the opportunity to build stronger relationships with camp staff and peers. |

E Camps focus on a content or skill area. E Camps are typically more indoor-oriented than Day Camps or Sports Camps. Many of the camps are led by City Schools of Decatur teachers.

Leaders-in-Training (LIT) Leadership Program for 14-15 year olds at Legacy Park Day Camp and iDiscover Day Camp. Tuition: $300/$325 per week Junior Counselor Program - Employment opportunity 16-17 year olds at Legacy Park Day Camp and iDiscover Day Camp. Mandatory orientation. Pay: $16 an hour |
The LIT Program offers 14-15 year olds a chance to develop leadership skills as they work with campers in the Legacy Park Day Camp program for four weeks.
The Junior Counselor Program is an employment opportunity for teens 16-17 years old who have already completed a previous leadership program and are ready to learn the ropes of working at summer camp. May work five weeks at Legacy Park Day Camp (one week orientation June 6-9 plus four weeks of camp). See the Forms & Documents Page for online applications for the LIT and Junior Counselor Programs.

Dates: May 28-July 26, week long sessions Ages: 7-15 years |
This is a camp for children to learn and play tennis in a relaxed environment. Each morning there are 90 minutes of tennis instruction, followed by swimming at Glenlake Pool. After lunch and a free play period, campers will return to the courts for more tennis play. The day concludes at the swimming pool. Campers will need to bring a lunch, bathing suit/swim trunks, and a towel each day. Closed toe/closed heel shoes are required for the tennis courts. |
