Opening Day Parade 2024

Get ready for the 2024 Summer Baseball Season! Join us for our annual Opening Day Parade on Saturday, June 1, starting at College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center. Don't miss out on the fun!

Decatur Baseball

For safe summer fun, there’s no better place to be than playing baseball! Decatur Parks & Recreation offers coed leagues for children ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-13. Each player receives a replica jersey, hat, pants and an end-of-the season award. Practices will be held at local school and park fields, beginning the week of May 20. Games will begin the week of June 1 and continue until July 26. The age control date for baseball is September 1, 2024.

Tee Ball (Ages 5-6)
$180 Resident / $215 Non-Resident
Tuesday and Thursday

Tee Ball is a fantastic introduction to team sports and baseball fundamentals for children. Registration opens on Saturday, April 6, so mark your calendars! Practices kick off on May 20 at local schools and parks, with games starting the week of June 1. All the action takes place at Oakhurst Park. Don't miss out on this opportunity to hit a home run and have a blast with Decatur Tee Ball!


Youth Baseball (Ages 7-13)
$180 Resident / $215 Non-Resident
Registration opens on Saturday, April 6th

Step up to the plate and join Decatur Parks & Recreation Youth Baseball for an action-packed season of fun and skill development! Our program offers baseball excitement for youth aged 7-8, 9-10, and 11-13. Games are scheduled throughout the week based on age groups: Monday and Thursday for 7-8 years, Wednesday and Thursday for 9-10 years, and Thursdays for 11-13 years. Practices kick off on May 20th at local schools and parks, with games starting the week of June 1st. All games will be played at Oakhurst Park. Youth Baseball Picture Day

Youth Baseball Pictures will be taken in June. Players will receive picture information from their coach.
