Decatur Parks & Recreation Programs

Registration is managed in CommunityPass.  

All households will need to set up a family account in the CommunityPass system in order to register for programs.

There are two ways to register for classes:  1) online or 2) in person at Decatur Recreation Center

Register Online

To register online you must first create a family account in CommunityPass. Please use the link provided above to create your family account, log in, add family members, and register for programs and activities. Please note that some activities - particularly those for children - will require completion of specified forms prior to enrollment in activities. Once you have added the desired activities to your cart for each participant, proceed to checkout and review your cart, and make your payment with Visa or MasterCard. Registration for programs requires completed payment. Be sure to check your receipt and your registration history to confirm your registration.

Please note that some programs require submission of various forms before participating. Many forms are now housed within the CommunityPass software. Follow the prompts to complete the required forms for each activity. For additional forms, please see the Forms and Documents Page for relevant forms for each program.

Proof of Residency

The CommunityPass software requires Residency Verification in order to offer the City of Decatur resident rate for relevant programs. City staff will periodically review new family accounts for residency status. If the property information on the DeKalb County tax assessor's website matches the information entered on family account, our staff will confirm residency status. If the property information does not match, the resident should complete the Proof of Residency Form including attaching documentation of residency (tax bill, utility bill, rent receipt, current signed lease agreement, property deed or closing statement) as well as a corresponding photo ID.

Call 404-377-0494 for assistance or email your name and address to registration@decaturga.com to request a password reset via email. (For email inquiries, please allow 1-2 business days for the city to process your request.)

Register in Person (Available by appointment - please call 404-377-0494)

Browse the classes you are interested in by reviewing the Playbook or listings on CommunityPass. Visit the front desk staff at the Decatur Recreation Center located at 231 Sycamore Street and register/pay with the front desk staff. They will assist you with everything. Most programs are first-come, first served. Registration requires completed payment. Please note that many programs require submission of various forms before participating.
