The online Summer Camp Playbook 2026 is available, packed with exciting options for an unforgettable summer.

Legacy Park Camp

Legacy Park Day Camp

Dates: June 1 - July 3

Location: Legacy Park (500 S. Columbia Dr.), Cochran Building, Gym, and Park Grounds

Grades: Rising K-5th (Fall 2025)

Hours: 8 a.m.–4 p.m. (after-care available until 6 p.m.)

Cost: $300/$325 per week

Legacy Park Day Camp is filled with exciting activities, including outdoor adventures, STEM projects, creative arts, sports, games, and team-building challenges. Each week brings fresh themes and activities, offering campers a chance to learn, have fun, and build lasting friendships with their peers.

iDiscover Camp

iDiscover Day Camp

Dates: June 1 - July 3

Location: Oakhurst Recreation Center (450 East Lake Drive), Rec Center, Fields, and Indoor Pool

Grades: Rising K-5th (Fall 2025)

Hours: 8 a.m.–4 p.m. (after-care available until 6 p.m.)

Cost: $300/$325 per week

iDiscover Camp offers campers the chance to explore exciting weekly themes through engaging activities that spark curiosity and foster personal growth. With a focus on discovery and skill-building, campers choose from six unique "Camptivity" areas: DIY projects, science exploration, arts adventures, creative expression, wildlife exploration, and active play. Each week is a journey of fun and learning!

E Camps

Enrichment “E” Camps

Dates: June 1 - July 31

Location: Decatur Recreation Center (231 Sycamore St.), Ebster Recreation Center (105 Electric Ave.), and Oakhurst Recreation Center (450 East Lake Dr.), Legacy Park (500 S. Columbia Drive)

Grades: Varies by camp (rising K-6th, must be 5 years old to attend)

Hours: 8 a.m.–4 p.m. (after-care available until 6 p.m.)

Cost: $300/$325 per week

E Camps are perfect for children interested in honing specific skills or exploring unique topics, with many camps led by City Schools of Decatur teachers. These camps are more indoor-focused compared to Day and Sports Camps.

Sports Camps and Clinics

Dates: May 26 - July 17

Location: Ebster Recreation Center (105 Electric Ave.) Ebster Field, Decatur High School, McKoy Park, Legacy Park

Grades: Varies by camp or clinic 

Hours:  9 a.m.–1 p.m. clinic / 9 a.m.–4 p.m. camp 

Cost: $200/$225 per week for clinics / $300/$325 per week for camp

Sports Camps provide a fun and active environment for campers to develop skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. With a focus on a variety of sports and games, these camps are perfect for athletes of all levels to stay active and have a blast!

tennis and swim camp

Tennis & Aquatics Camps

Dates: May 26 - July 31

Location: Glenlake Tennis Center & Pool

Ages: 7–15 years

Campers start their day with 90 minutes of tennis instruction, followed by swimming, free play, and afternoon tennis matches. The day wraps up with a refreshing swim!

What to bring:

  • Lunch
  • Swimsuit and towel
  • Closed-toe/heel shoes for tennis

Teen Leadership Programs

  • Leaders-in-Training (LIT) Program:
    • Ages: 14–15 years
    • Tuition: $300/$325 per week
    • Details: Five weeks of leadership development while assisting with Legacy Park and iDiscover Day Camps. Mandatory orientation (May 27-29).
  • Junior Counselor Program:
    • Ages: 16–17 years
    • Pay: $16/hour
    • Details: After completing a leadership program, teens can work up to five weeks, including a mandatory orientation (May 26-29).
