The City of Decatur will begin sidewalk improvements along Church Street and Clairemont Avenue the week of May 4, 2026. As part of this effort, crews will also conduct Saturday work on May 16, limited to Church Street only. The project is expected to be completed within approximately two (2) weeks, weather permitting.
Temporary sidewalk closures will occur on a rolling basis as work progresses. Signage will be posted to guide pedestrians safely around work areas.
Minimal impacts are anticipated, and access will be maintained wherever possible.
