The City of Decatur is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms to provide engineering design services for safety improvements along S. McDonough St. (E. College Ave. to Oakview Rd.) and Oakview Rd. (S. McDonough St. to 2nd Ave./City Limits).
Scope highlights
The selected consultant will support a corridor scoping study that includes, at a minimum: existing conditions and corridor assessment; data collection (counts, turning movements, speeds, operations at key intersections); concept-level environmental/community context screening; concept-level survey; public and stakeholder engagement; development of design alternatives; preferred alternative refinement; and preparation of a GDOT PDP–consistent Concept Report and a final Scoping Study.

Minimum qualifications and GDOT prequalification (required)
Teams must be GDOT prequalified in required area classes. Submittals that do not meet the area class requirements will be disqualified.

Team MUST hold (prime and/or subs): NEPA documentation, history, air/noise/ecology/archaeology and other environmental screening classes; public involvement; traffic projections; urban roadway design; traffic ops studies/design; landscape architecture; utility coordination; hydrology; surveying; SUE; soils; hazardous waste; ES&PC plan, etc.
