The City of Decatur is accepting sealed bids for the 2026 City of Decatur S. McDonough Street Infrastructure Improvements Phase II project.

Bids Due: March 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM EST (hardcopy submission).

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The City of Decatur will receive sealed bids for infrastructure improvements along S. McDonough Street as part of the Phase II project.
Work includes improvements at two locations:
- S. McDonough Street between Garland Avenue and Lenore Street
- S. McDonough Street at the E/W Davis Street intersection
All work must comply with the Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, and materials must be sourced from GDOT-certified suppliers.
Construction is expected to begin within ten (10) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed and be completed within 60 calendar days.

Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference February 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM
Deadline for Written Questions February 27, 2026, at 3:00 PM
Posting of Written Answers March 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM
Bid Opening March 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM
Construction will be completed within 60 days of Notice to Proceed; planting may occur later depending on seasonal conditions.
BID REQUIREMENTS
At a minimum, bidders must submit:
- Completed Instructions to Bidders
- Five percent (5%) bid security
- Executed bid proposal form
- References
- List of proposed sub-bidders
- Non-collusion affidavit
- Federal Work Authorization Program forms
- Terms and conditions documentation
Bids may be held for up to sixty (60) days to allow the City to review submissions and evaluate bidder qualifications prior to award.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive formalities in the bidding process.
