The department continues to work with the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District to update environmental regulations that will ultimately lead to cleaner water flowing through our streams.

The department enforces ordinances regulating private development that affects public facilities, and provides information and limited assistance to citizens regarding grading, drainage and floodplain related issues.
