Mark Arnold was elected to the Decatur City Commission in 2025. Mark and Roz have lived in the City of Decatur for the past 26 years. Their daughters Maya Journey (MJ) and Sage attended and graduated City Schools of Decatur (k-12). Mark has been consistently active in the Decatur community, through volunteer roles in our schools, citizen led boards and commissions, and local organizations. He served on the Legacy Park Board of Directors from 2020 – 2025, the City of Decatur Charter Review Commission 2025, and Beacon Hill (Renfroe) Middle School Leadership Team.

Mark is passionate about financial stewardship and the efficient delivery of essential services and quality of life issues for our senior residents.

Mark grew up in the Bronx, NY, graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and holds Masters degrees in Finance and Strategy from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Mark is Vice President of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence for CRH Americas Materials, Inc.
