Lesa Fronk (formerly Mayer) was elected to the City Commission in 2019 and has been a resident of the city for over twenty years. Lesa is a staunch advocate for housing equity and affordability, having successfully championed for both Decatur's mandatory inclusionary housing ordinance and the repeal of the city’s longstanding exclusionary housing ordinance. She serves as Vice Chair of the Decatur Land Trust Board and is the founder of the Beacon Hill Concert series- an entertainment and educational hybrid that amplifies the voices and the history of the residents displaced from Decatur’s historic Beacon Hill community by harmful urban renewal practices. In May 2025, Lesa introduced a reparations resolution that was passed unanimously by the City Commission and serves as the foundation for future work towards reparations efforts in the City of Decatur.

Lesa is a Vice President and Risk Advisor for a large financial institution. She is married to Michael Fronk, a retired combat veteran of the United States Air Force, and has three awesome sons- one a DHS graduate and two who attend schools in CSD and one adorable step-daughter.
