Neighborhood Tournaments
Decatur Active Living holds annual neighborhood softball and basketball tournaments. Our staff invites your neighborhood to come and join in the fun, laughter, and of course the game. Teams are co-ed. Basketball must have two women on the court at all times and Softball must have four women on the field at a time. Refreshments are provided.
The 2009 Neighborhood Softball Tournament set for Saturday, May 9 at McKoy Park, 1006 Adams Street. Get your neighborhood together for a fun day filled with softball, laughter and hot dogs. This is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors and kick off the 2009 Softball Season!
Softball
Decatur Active Living Adult Softball provides the opportunity to exercise, meet new friends and have a good time. Join the womens, coed or mens softball league in the spring. Universal Joint, Trackside, Twains, Corner Pub and other local businesses participate in recreation softball. Decatur businesses and neighborhoods are welcome to enter teams in the league. There is no need to stop playing at the end of the spring season. There are coed and men's leagues in the Fall.
2009 Adult Spring Softball registration begins March 7
Fees are $450 per team. T
he schedule consist of of 10 games and a end-of-the season tournament. League winners will advance to the GRPA district competition. There will be a representative meeting held on Thursday, April 23 at 7:00pm at Decatur Recreation Center.
Coed League games begin on May 18 and will be played on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Men's League games begin on May 19 and will be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
2008 Adult Fall Softball registration begins Aug. 4.
Fees are $380 per team.
Coed League games begin on Aug. 25 and will be played on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Men's League games begin on Aug. 26 and will be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Basketball
Re-live your past basketball years. Join the our winter basketball leagues for adult men and women. League play begins in December. The schedule consists of 10 games and an end-of-season tournament. League winners will advance to the GRPA district competition. There will be a representative meeting held on Thursday, November 29th at 7:00pm at Decatur Recreation Center.
Adult Basketball Registration begins September 20th.
Fees are $480.
Women's League games begin on Dec. 11. Games are on Thursday nights.
Men's League games begin on Dec. 8. Games are on Monday nights.
Men's League weekend games begin on Dec. 13. Games are on Saturday and Sundays.
Adult Summer Basketball Registration begins May 9.
Fees for Adult Summer Basketball are $360. Summer Basketball will consist of a 8 game schedule and a end-of-the season tournament. Games will be held on Saturdays beginning June 20.
