2008 Fall Soccer Information
Decatur Active Living offers coed leagues for children ages 4-6, 6-7 and 8-9 and 10-11. Each player receives a jersey, shorts, socks and an end-of-the season award. Practices will be held at local schools and fields, beginning September 15. Games will begin September 27 for all ages. Mini soccer games will conclude November 11 and league soccer will conclude September 6. The age control date for soccer is September 1, 2008.
Registration for Fall Soccer will begin Saturday, August 2.
Mini soccer games will be played at Glenlake Park located at 1121 Church Street, Decatur Ga. 30030.
6-7 league games will be played at Samuel L Jones Girls and Boys Club located at 450 E. Lake Drive, Decatur Ga. 30030.
8-9 and 10-11 league games will be played at Ebster Field located at 404 W. Trinity Place, Decatur Ga. 30030.
Field Reminders
No pets allowed on game fields.
No parking on the island or against the fence near the game field (Boys and Girls Club).
No parking in front of the entrance gate at Ebster (Ebster Field).
Restrooms are located at Ebster Center (Ebster Field).
Restrooms are located outside of the Glenlake Tennis Center (Glenlake Field).
Please do not block cars (Ebster Field, Glenlake and Boys and Girls Club).
Free Soccer Clinic: There will be a FREE Soccer Clinic held for all 2008 Fall Soccer Participants ages 4-11. The clinic will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10 a.m. on Ebster Field. Players will have the opportunity to learn skills such as foot work, dribbling, passing, throw-ins and other techniques. This is a great way to jump start the Fall Soccer Season.
