After-School Program
Overview
Grades K-5
Who says you can’t learn and have fun at the same time? Kids do it everyday in Decatur’s After-School Programs. Animal Crackers, Whiz Kids, and Project REAL are offered in collaboration with City Schools of Decatur. Animal Crackers serves kindergarten through3rd grade stu
dents. Its age-appropriate activities, combined with outside time and a caring staff, is almost like going home to milk and cookies (but with more friends and more fun.)
Whiz Kids at Glennwood Academy includes lots of kid-driven activities. Our 4th and 5th graders are involved in choosing and planning the program themselves. Project REAL at Renfroe Middle School gives its students a voice in planning special interest classes, field trips and community service projects. Kids at the middle school can be a part of the program every day or just be a part of what interests them most.
After school fees are due the 15th of each month prior to the beginning of each session. Session 1 fees are due July 15 and continue each month. There is a fee holiday in December.
