Tree Preservation and Replacement

UPDATE: The City Commission tabled the proposed changes to the existing tree ordinance at their regular meeting on Monday, May 19, 2008. They will take it up for consideration at a future City Commission meeting, date to be announced.

A public information session was held on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 7 p.m. at City Hall to present the proposed changes to the existing tree ordinance.

About Decatur's Tree Ordinance
The City's tree preservation and replacement ordinance is intended to encourage the protection and/or replacement of trees as part of the land development and building construction process within the City of Decatur.
