Noncompliance with the City's Building Code
City of Decatur Codes Enforcement is housed within the Fire Department. Designated firefighting staff, trained to perform codes-enforcement-related tasks, are vested by the City to uphold the code of ordinances and issue citations that require violators to appear in the City's municipal court.
