Here are important dates in the budget schedule for the City of Decatur's Fiscal Year 2006-07 budget process, subject to City Commission approval.
- May 15, 2006 – Formal presentation of budget to City Commission and adoption of tentative 2006 millage rate
- June 5, 2006 – Public hearing on proposed FY 2006-07 budget and revised FY 2005-06 budget and 2006 millage rate at 7:30 p.m. at the Decatur Recreation Center, 231 Sycamore St., Decatur
- June 12, 2006 – Public hearing on proposed FY 2006-07 budget and revised FY 2005-06 budget and 2006 millage rate at 6 p.m. at temporary City Hall location, 233 E. Trinity Place, Decatur
- June 19, 2006 – Public hearing and scheduled adoption of proposed FY 2006-07 budget and revised FY 2005-06 budget and adoption of final 2006 millage rate at 7:30 p.m. at temporary City Hall location, 233 E. Trinity Place, Decatur
Hard copies of the FY 2006-07 proposed budget and FY 2005-06 revised budget are available at Decatur City Hall and at the Decatur Library on Sycamore Street.
